Congratulations to our Aussie medal winners. What a day for Australia. But … the Olympics is so much more than winning a Gold medal… Heroes come along in all sorts of forms – in sport and in life. Whether it is:
- the struggle to qualify and get there (consider Tahmina‘s or Hamza Hussein / Haider Rashid’s example)
- the struggle to overcome adversity and obstacles along the way

- the life lessons that sport teaches us (me …….)
- the struggle like we all face to be the best that we can be.

And that’s one of the reasons I love sport and I love the Olympics. It shows the best of the human spirit (remember Derek Redmond and his father in this unforgettable Olympic moment) and inspires us to be more than we imagine that we could be.
